So yesterday was the first day of spring, but I’ve had spring fever since the first day of winter. I really shouldn’t complain, too much, since Colorado gives us very springlike days throughout the winter months.

Almost every night after dinner, my husband has something sweet to eat and a glass of milk. One of his favorites is chocolate cake. I wanted to share this story today to celebrate my husband and his family for St. Patrick’s Day.

This is a view of North Table Mountain from our backyard. Most of the time the view is fairly obscured from trees to the west.

These paintings are from different views of North Table Mountain from Easley Road or West 58th Drive. North Table Mountain is one of my favorite landscape features and I’ve painted it many times.

The view in this painting is close to where Leyden Road meets Highway 93. There’s a bit of Highway 93 moving in and out of the composition on the left central edge and adds scale to the landscape.

This view is looking north east over a part of Coal Creek Canyon Park from Plainview Road. The location is west of Highway 93 and north of Highway 72.
