This is an acrylic painting based on ponds I had seen on a painting trip to a farm in Longmont that was owned by my mom’s friend. Later in my studio, from memory, I worked loosely with acrylic experimenting with laying in color in wet areas and letting the colors move across the wet paper and allowing other areas to remain dry for crisp edges. I wanted to represent how it felt to be at the farm and standing in front of the ponds rather than a literal image of it.
