Greetings and Salutations,

Is there something you feel passionate about? Of course there is. Everyone feels passionate about something or someone. Just a scroll through FaceBook, Pinterest, Instagram or any social media site and there is tons of stuff people feel passionate about including spouses, children, food, pets, and all sorts of good things. It’s very important to find passion in life. It makes life worth living and getting out of bed everyday. I feel very fortunate that I have a few passions in my life that get me hopping out of bed (some days more enthusiastically than others). One of them is art. Big A art, little a art, making art, viewing art, reading about art, art processes, art materials, other artists. You name it, if it’s art related I’m probably going to be interested.

With Valentine’s Day being tomorrow, it’s a good time to think about what makes you feel passionate. No matter if it’s a person, place, thing, or activity.  For those that say, “I don’t feel passionate about anything.” What do you like? What do you look forward to everyday, every week, and every year? Build on those answers and spend more time with those people and activities that you like and make you feel good inside. Passion might just follow.

I’ve always loved Valentine’s Day and see it more than a holiday for couples. It’s a day to let all the people you love know that you love them. This includes family, friends, lovers, and pets (yes pets, they’re people too, you know). It’s an area of my life that if I could do it all over again, I would let the people who mattered know just how much they mattered even more and especially on Valentine’s Day. Be sure to spread some passion around today, tomorrow, and everyday with the people and things you love.

Happy Valentine’s Day,
Karen
