Say hello to my little friend. Much battered, worn, and bent with only little bits of paint left on the handle, it’s still my go to brush. And yes, it really is that warped.

One of the amazing things about charcoal is that it transforms from a drawing medium to a painting with the addition of water. Using a wet brush, the charcoal moves across the paper and creates larger areas of grey shapes that have an ink-like feel.
